Terms of Service
The terms under which CentPol provides its website, research, training programs, and community membership.
Last updated: 24 June 2026
Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the CentPol website, programs, courses, community membership, and any other services we make available (the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
Who can use the Services
You may use the Services if you can form a binding contract with CentPol under the laws of your country. If you're using the Services on behalf of an institution, you confirm that you have authority to bind that institution to these Terms.
Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential.
- You're responsible for activity that happens under your account, including content you submit.
- Provide accurate, current information when you sign up — we rely on it to deliver the Services.
- Notify us at hello@centpol.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Services to:
- Break the law, infringe rights, or facilitate harm to others.
- Upload or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, deceptive, or hateful.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or otherwise circumvent technical limits of the Services.
- Use automated means (bots, crawlers) to access the Services in ways that interfere with normal use, or beyond what our robots policy permits.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any institution.
Programs, courses, and enrollment
- Self-paced training courses are offered free of charge. Enrollment is granted at our discretion and may be revoked if these Terms are breached.
- Facilitated cohorts (sprints, fellowships, custom engagements) are governed by separate program-specific terms, including any fees, deliverables, milestones, and intellectual property arrangements. Those terms control over these Terms in case of conflict.
- Spots in facilitated programs are limited. Acceptance is at our discretion based on fit, capacity, and program objectives.
- Issued badges, certificates, and program credentials remain valid as long as the underlying record holds. We may revoke a credential if it was issued in error or in violation of these Terms.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit to the Services (forum posts, assignments, applications, comments). By submitting it, you grant CentPol a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and use that content for the purpose of operating and improving the Services, and (where you've made the content publicly visible) to display it in those contexts.
Don't submit content you don't have the right to share, or that includes confidential information you haven't been authorized to disclose.
Our content
The CentPol website, research outputs, training materials, frameworks, code, designs, and brand assets are owned by CentPol or its licensors and protected by intellectual property law. You may read, link to, and share publicly published content for non-commercial purposes with attribution. Anything beyond that — republishing, commercial use, derivative works — requires written permission. Open-source code is governed by the license published with it.
Third-party services
The Services integrate with third parties — for example LinkedIn (sign-in), our email and analytics providers, and our hosting infrastructure. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy notices. We aren't responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.
Disclaimers
The Services and all content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. CentPol research, insights, and training materials are for informational and educational purposes — they do not constitute legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CentPol disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CentPol will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill — arising out of or related to your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts paid by you to CentPol in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars.
Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time and request deletion of your account by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continuing to provide the Services to you isn't commercially reasonable. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law — will survive.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll let you know — through the Services or by email — before they take effect. Continued use of the Services after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
