AI and Humanity

Course lesson · Lesson 2

Judgment

When AI can draft, decide and create, the question is not whether people and machines should work together but when that combination actually helps, what it does to human skill, and which work should stay human.

What you'll take away
  • Explain what the evidence says about when human-AI combinations outperform, and when they do not.
  • Recognise over-reliance and deskilling as patterns that incentives can produce and safeguards can limit.
  • Read job-exposure research correctly, as exposure rather than predicted job loss.
  • Decide which parts of a task should stay human, be assisted or be delegated, for reasons other than speed.
